>>2126381>>2126386As he said, not a great trail. You'll either want to move north or south first to avoid scorching deserts with 0 resupply stops. Depends a bit on what time of year you do this, mode of transportation (biking or walking) and some other factors. Personally, if it's summer I'd take the upper route and if it's winter I'd take the lower.
>upperMight as well just go through the Great Plains instead of fucking around in Miss/western Appalachia. The Dakotas have absolutely gorgeous scenery and the Nebraskan panhandle is one of the only places on Earth to see the true historic expanse of tallgrass or shortgrass prairies. Endless rolling hills that could humble anyone.
>southUndeniably cool scenery and deserts make good hiking trails. Fewer chances of ticks and other vermin, though it might get a little boring by the end. Texas is very flat. However, once you're through that section, the deep South is an incredibly interesting place to walk through. Hot as hell, but pleasant people and good food.
Enjoy your trip OP. I imagine doing a trip like this might take the better part of a year depending on your pace. Do your due diligence.
