My family recently came into some woodland with a house on it, it was a massive wooded plot years and years ago that was sub-divided into a lot of smaller plots. So, now theres a dirt access road that runs through it to the other lots which range from undeveloped, to deer camps, to weekend homes, to full time residences.

Our plot is 5 acres with a house, and I had planned a guys weekend to catch up with the boys, but everyone else fell through, so now I'll be going solo. Im going to take the opportunity to primative camp, bushcraft, all that sort of shit you cant do on other people's/public land. What would you guys reccomend as good skills to practice? Shelter building? Fire starting? Something else? Im more of a /k/ommando than an /out/ist, so Im pretty new at this and would love to put some theory into action on this trip.
