I have 2 weeks of PTO left and don't have anything to use it on if travel outside the U.S. remains limited. Anyone here have recommendations on state/national parks to visit during that time period?

Not completely off-topic, but does anyone know the best time to go to Yosemite or Tahoe in the fall? Ideally after the kids are back in school and the summer tourists have all but left.

Stay out of Upstate New York unless you go after the leaves have fallen. There are way too many fucking people here during peak fall foliage and it gets worse every year.

I mean, I usually try to go to these places on the off-season to avoid crowds but the last time I did this was up in Montana and everyone berated me for risking my life with the grizzlies.

Depends on weather. PNW is probably going to be okay. Southern Utah/northern Arizona. Northern California coast. The Smokys. Depending on timing and weather, a lot of the big mountains might already be dumped on.
