>>2135259i do t use them but i will, they are good when you are crossing shallow rivver with heavy pack, going down from montains with heavy pack or long distance walki g with heavy pack. they save knees. also i like to hold something in my hands if i walk too long, because they start to feel weird after some time, and they turn red. I am thinking of buying sticks for savung my knees, i am in shape and i train bpxing and i luft weights, i am 260 pounds mostly muscle but with gear i am 300+ pounds and i could waste my knees with trekking. if they help to do your hobby longer in life i am all for it. i always forget to buy them . and no i dont want to lose too much weight i like looking as tank, maby i will drop to 220 but still its heavy weight for too much walking without poles.
