trees native to Australia, the entire Eucalyptus family literally have highly flammable oil in their leaves.
Seeds of most Australian plants and trees dont germinate unless they've been burnt or heated to a certain temperature. This is cuz after a fire there's less competition for the new saplings growing.
We're also a country where a large majority of the land gets no rain for years at a time. We haven't had even 1 drop of rain at my place for coming up on two years now.
The grass on our grasslands is literally 2m high brown/yellow dead shit that burns just from looking at it.
Like the other anon said, Australia nearly always has a permanent fire ban because the entire country is highly flammable tinder that goes up from even the smallest things.
The fires we had in 2019/2020, half of them were caused by lightning strikes, the other half by dumb faggots flicking cigarettes out the car window while driving.
At best, the only places I've been able to have a fire when camping in Australia has either been down on the beach, or far out in the desert. Both places with no bushland or grass around (which is most of Australia).
