How so?

It's nowhere near as ridiculously restricted as it is in the US for instance.

You're allowed to camp in any woods or non-urban areas that aren't reservations, full stop.

Camping on someone else's private property is also perfectly fine.

Why does USA get such a bad rap for /out/ activities. True you can't camp on private land without permission but there is a shit ton of public land, national forest, state parks, and national parks to play around in. I believe there is 780,000 square km of national forest alone. That's more than twice the size of Finland.

When I go camping here in Sweden I don't park my car, take two steps, set up tent and then use a little electrical kitchen or whatnot so as to not leave any traces.

I just wander off without following any preset trail or worrying about park rangers, find a lake, make a proper shelter by chopping down a few trees and then make a proper bonfire.

its so much more spread out in america its harder to get caught
in ireland, even the most secluded areas are still within a few miles of some shitty clooggerstown or somewhere nobody has heard of. Nowhere is genuinely secluded

im almost tempted to go into politics to try and force more conservation and other things, but i know i wouldnt get anywhere, and i have no money or background for it. but i might just give it the old college try if it gets bad enough. the worst thing that can happen is nothing, the best thing i would expect would be mild media coverage (maybe local news and paper) and just talk about conservation and hopefully get some people behind me.

New Zealand.

No predators. No ruined landscapes. mostly white people with local Maori. Its literally heaven on Earth. I've never been to a more beautiful country.

You could party in Auckland or Wellington, and then drive 20 minutes and you're in the middle of the mountains without a building in sight.

The lake in the distance is the largest lake in NZ, in the center of the north island. It was like an hour bus ride away

But I would love to show you euros just how far /out/ I can get you in Arizona. I know places where you can see 50+ and not see an electric light at night. Not one.

And i would kill to see a place where you cant see any city lights at night.
My god, ive only ever been somewhere like that once and we had to sit on a side of the mountain that was in between the city and us so we didnt see it
so much effort but it was nice.

I'd love to go Az, Ireland is a tiny country, more people cross the george washington bridge everyday than live in ireland.
Going to somewhere like Az and camping out for a week is one of my dreams. Colorado is another place i'd love to see

Ontario and Quebec have everything from the best rural places, best wild places, best cities, worst cities, cleanest water, most polluted water.

Huge places that are extremely hard to generalize about.
Much like the USA, you can more or less find what you want in these places, you just have to avoid some shit and assholes.
