Agree'd. Im looking at heading into the south-west of WA then later next year up into the north-west. But I live boarder-ling bush/desert and thats all I have ever really been around. The beach is easy but I would be keen to stay somewhere near a running river or something similar.

Consider pic related.

I found the central west to be a good compromise. It was 10 years ago so I don't know how much has changed. Back then I had the beach to myself pretty much.

I also went up through the centre. Take plenty of water and spare fuel.

Yeah aquatic lizards are an issue. Luckily im not flat out retarded so hopefully I should be able to avoid being eaten.

Ive been up through Laverton/Meekathara and the surrounding area's but that kind of bushland feels too much like home. I mean, I love bush and everything, but im sure WA has move to offer than gum tree's and trap door spiders.

I just went on a road trip there, it was very nice and there are loads of places to stay. There's also a 1000km walking track that skirts the coast.

Has anyone done a beach camping trip moving along the coast every day or so to see more of the beach and catch different fish and stuff?

The south-west has a massive selection of awesome beaches and camping spots. Thinking it might be worth just throwing a mattress in the back of the car with the beach rod and tackle box and trying that for a week or so.

If its a fire ban yeah fair enough.. but fuck, I can't even dig a small ditch and collect twigs or coals to make a small fire? On a deserted beach? What the fuck NSW... what in the actual fuck.

Does anyone know beaches where you can actually make a fire? Byron Bay and Yamba was chill as fuck about it.

It just grinds my fucking gears, I was just off the Blue mountains helping out with the fires and evacuating an entire suburb.

And I see some lebs or asians (predominantly) with their import cars parked on the beach with campfires, don't get me wrong I've got nothing against them, many of them who I served with are great human beings.

But its just the attitude of some that just drive me up the fucking wall.

Like, they didn't give a shit that there was a fireban, even when the Greek store owner across the road told them to put it out. They just told him "yeah whatever, We'll put it out now" and they did nothing.
