>>215973Will order some of these next time I tackle up, they look a bit like the fiiish black minnows, thanks.
>>215988Not usually. A lot of the soft baits now are 'scented' so they look realistic and smell realistic too? Berkley gulp baits are scented and my megabass xlayer worms are aniseed scented too.
>>216001>>216007Any info regarding weather conditions would be very much appreciated.
As to where the fish, well I've started reading a lot more about bass behaviour and feeding habits. Luckily a well known British bass fisherman Mike Ladle has fished around all my local spots and has written a few books and has a excellent website documenting the local area. i don't think its the places i fish don't produce but i guess i could be there at the wrong times? I'm fishing the south coast of England, Mainly rocky headlands and ledges that drop off into deeper water.
The bass around here feed on rag worms, many variety of crabs, shrimp, prawn, sand hoppers, maggots and small baitfish like sand eel, mackerel and pollack.
>>216004Thank you that's good to know. I had to reel it off and onto that spool about 5 times to get it like that as I didn't have another spool the same size so had to kinda guess how much nylon to pack it out with under the braid!
>>216022I think whatever your problems are fishing they are the same as mine. Even when fishing with mates, using practically the same set ups, same baits, they'll all be fucking about not paying attention to their rods, smoking and drinking and they'll pull fish out and I'll get fuck all. Only time I ever catch fish is on the boat, but even then I hardly catch anything compared to them. Maybe we smell funny!?
>>216014Rovex carbon tele spin, Rovex reel Verona EXR 3000 tackle can be seen here
>>215052>>216007Also I think we may have a totally different fish called bass here in the UK as ours is generally a saltwater sea fish not usually found in lakes?
Pic related salty sea bass.
