Are shorts okay for forest camping? It's so hot nowadays and camping in pants in that heat really kills a lot of enjoyment of it. Or is the tick problem making it not worth the comfort and I should just take pants and sweat my ass off?

I only own a pair of jeans but wanted some lighter pants to pack on my travels, I ordered some Prana Stretch Zion pants a few days ago hoping they work out ok. Most pants these days don't have a high enough waist for my liking, I fear that may turn out to be case. What can i say i got some huge nuts

Got some of these on aliexpress 2 years ago. You can take off the lower part with zippers, but they are very thin, so you can leave them as is and pull your socks over them without getting too hot innawoods. I went to the forest 3 days ago, but still got 2 ticks on my left arm because I just wore a t-shirt...

not rly bro the zions i mentioned came in and they fit fine since they are stretchy they don't hug my groin too bad I will be keeping them since they are much lighter than any jeans and i need them for a trip asap

there was a pair at columbia that looked better in that respect online but they didn't have an integrated belt (which is a joke on the prana pants anyway) in retrospect i would have rather got those as they come with a webbing belt that probably weighs nothing

Are the versions really that different? I didn't try on 4 pairs of pants cause i'm not a chick but it seems like the main ones are the stryke, taclite pro, apex/ridge (sales guy said apex and ridge are the exact same except ridge is slightly thinner at the bottom)
