I'm looking for sturdy, breathable hiking pants. I'm an electrician and work outside in 90+ weather half the summer, jeans are too stifling. Any recommendations on where to start looking?

Edgevale made some condura pants “cast iron pants” or some shit that we’re hot but bulletproof. They still make them but the quality has declines some. I think the new ones are a bit thinner to make them lighters and more comfortable. No shit the old ones could stand up on their own support.

Kuhl is a little expensive but they make nice pants with vents in them that are kino in hot weather. Material is light, dries fast, and the vents really work surprisingly well. Maybe try to get a pro deal with them since you are a tradesman?

I'm prior service, so maybe it's not a larp; surplus OCP pants. Don't care if they get dirty, ripstop, massive pockets, loose enough to breath or wear thermals under. Also they have the handy integrated boot bands to keep the ankles secure if you're in underbrush and don't want shit scraping your ankles.

Which I btw. believe was partly made to extend the temperature range of their clothes. Uncover the cut pieces and they don't insulate any more. Cover them with a coat or cloak and they do. I should test that one of these days.
