Can anyone recommend a pair of LIGHT all-weather hiking boots that I can take into the mountains with a heavy pack?
For years I've always worn heavy leather gortex boots for all my hiking, but recently bought a pair of Salomon hiking shoes for travel the last 6 months and they've worked WONDERFULLY. WAY WAY tougher than I've have thought while being way more comfortable and less tiring that boots. I realize now there's no need for HEAVY boots, although I need something a bit more bootish for use in snow / with snowshoes / in scree.
What does /out/ think of these?
