What are the best brands of sunscreen?
Are there fancy, premium sunscreens these days that don't have the strong smell and oily consistency of the cheap stuff?

So everyone's skin works slightly differently with sunscreen so it's a little bit of a trial and error to find your personal flavor that works best. I'm coming from a sailing and watersports background which seems to like the mineral based stuff is much more common due to how much longer it lasts but for some people chemical blockage works better. Also this is pretty much just face focused as long sleeves or rash guard work better for arms/body. Below are the common ones I see:

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc
Banana Boat Ultra Sport
Sun Bum (any of the Mineral or Baby varieties)
Blue Lizard
Random pure zinc sticks that we all just toss around.

Is that why black people have higher rates of skin cancer?I'd rather be able to change my tone to suit any environment than be born so dark I get vitamin D deficiency in half of the world. All a white person has to do is gradually tan before they go to africa and they are fine. Negroes in Alaska get weak.

Mineral sunscreen is the best. Works instantly, more widespread blockage and is used by asians who make the reaaallllll sunscreen. Some may leave a white cast but um MISSHA Sun Milk is my go to it’s definitely the best for my skin condition

I have a farmers tan built up from gardening all spring. My arms can be exposed for 9+ hours of direct sun and not get burned, but if I take my shirt off I'll be cherry red on the shoulders in 20 min. Get tanned and you don't need sunscreen. Alternatively buy the cheapest shit you can get at the dollar store because it's all the fucking same
