Fun Fax: Yengo/Wollemi National Park (divided into two but geographically one solid area) are together about 4x the size of Rhode Island, with almost no roads or hiking tracks, and the raw bush is so thick and steep that's it's almost completely impassible. Much of the park has not been seen from the ground or explored, especially because about one Rhode Island of area on the Wollemi side is basically a gigantic Bryce Canyon except covered in thick jungle. It would take several weeks to try and cross it and only if you're a skilled rock climber. When people do strike out and try to explore the canyon floors etc they often find cave paintings that haven't been seen for thousands of years. This is where the famed stand of Wollemi Pines was discovered in the 90s.
