It's just the easiest app/way to read trail maps on the go.
Also, make sure to check community content for some lesser trails.
And, if it isn't even on community content, but the trail is shown on the topo map (and numbered), I use the line drawing feature in caltopo website and then export that into the "create a map' feature on alltrails to make my own.
