You don't love nature unless you also love dense development.

You don't have to live in dense areas. But land is a scarce resource, and the more densely people who are housed in urban environments, the more land there is for people like you to live in nature or rural areas.

Think of cities as human containment areas. The denser the cities are built, the more spare land there is for the wild and for country living.
