This. Keep an eye on the situation, and pack stuff up so if you decide to bug out, you can do so quickly. Don't count on sitting in water watching the fire to save you, sitting in salt water for hours can cause other health effects, and you might have to move so far out you're treading water. Plan your escape route now, and bug out if it looks like the fire might block it.
