How does one deal with Southern humidity?

I just can't handle it bros. I was born and raised here but it's just so brutal every year. There is no escape; you can't just go in the shade and be cozy like out west. Am I a massive pussy for just taking a break from June to October?

do you mean west as in the east side of the rockies? its fairly humid on the coast, not hawaii level but certainly not what one would consider to be dry

It's humid on the coast, but you don't have the accompanying high temperature for the humidity to be a problem. The south has both.

Also, find high elevation spots, it isn't so hot above 3000 ft. There's lots of things you can do to beat the heat.
