>>216855>how do you guys watch out for snakes while hiking?I don't specifically look out for snakes. I simply don't walk in places where there might be snakes. Like I don't walk by stuff that has low overhangs like stones or logs where a snake could hide under and bite my foot. However, when I walk, I'm always scanning the ground for the best, sturdiest, quietest footing I can find. In doing that, I spot pretty much everything.
>when camping for the night how do you secure your camp from spiders and snakes? My camping normally includes a communal fire for a few people and fully sealed tents. That's more than enough to keep spiders and snakes out. Although, if there's one tiny hole in the tent you'll have spiders all over the fucking place. So, the tents stay fully zipped up at all times, no exceptions.
The worst thing about spiders inside the tent is hearing them skittering around. Even when they are not in the tent they skitter int he grass under it sometimes and always skitter all over the top of the tent like it is there own theme park. It can be annoying when your alone and everything else is super quite.
