AT MOST you might get a bluff charge and in that case just stand your ground and slowly back away without turning your back on the bear. The cub isn't even close, it could be dangerous if you accidentally walked in between a cub and a mom but that didn't happen here.
But don't run from bears, that's the actual one instance you can die. The only black bear death I know of was when a jogger was killed by a black bear, because if you run from predators they think you're food
