>>2177196You are correct in your assumption about this being the work of a fairy or gnome (proper term for both is Fae btw)
To understand this phenomena you must first understand that the Fae practice the fundamental natural religion of Gaianism which revolves around understanding everything in the natural world as being fundamentally correct and that everything can be understood through a variety of cosmic reflections, i.e through naturally occurring microcosms and macrocosms of the wider universe
In Gaianism the tree is seen as a microcosmic reflection of the world (world in this case meaning all of existence) and the leaves are seen as microcosmic reflections of the creatures that inhabit the world. The most spiritually advanced Fae can synchronize their own life force with that of the trees in order to create patterns of movement as a means of communicating a message about greater cosmic movement.
In this case, the message is indeed a warning and should be taken extremely seriously. The singular leaf being moved in an erratic and unnatural way when in your presence is representative of how your own life force is out of sync with the Earth and that your living essence carries a destructive and unnatural energy with it. Think of this as a Gaian equivalent to being turned away from a social event because you're violently drunk and everyone wants you to leave.
If you continue to enter into natural areas with this unnatural aura, the Fae may take drastic measures to protect themselves and send a creature to destroy you or open a sinkhole under your feet to swallow you
Also I just made all that up and you're mom gay
