New Wisconsin resident here, Bristol area.
I'm interested in bike paths, shooting, driving roads, and secluded camping.
Already signed up for the Bristol Range club, shot off all my ammo.
Found some bike paths around Richard Bongs park
All the roads around me are straight lines. Nothing exciting
Can I get some additional suggestions based on my interests?

I don't think you are going to find very interesting riding anywhere in Wisconsin. Your best bet is to check the strava heat map.

Wisconsin has some pretty good disc golf.

"Secluded" camping is not going to be a thing anywhere south of Green Bay, but north of there you have Door County and a bunch of national forests around the great lakes.

lake geneva is filled with boomers.
all the nice roads are up north too
all the lakes around me are surrounded by residential housing and no nice roads near them, just dead ends and 15mph speed limits

Milwaukee's Oak Leaf Trail is pretty good, kind of a bike highway through the city with a bunch of parkland up and down the whole way. Otherwise the Elroy-Sparta trail is nice, Blue Mound State Park and the various sections of Kettle Morraine State forest both have decent mountain bike trails as well.

You already are in a range club, please limit your /out/ shooting to hunting during seasons.

Head north, there's some nicer country for driving/biking when you're closer to Lake Superior; on that note, check out Michigan's UP and Northwestern Minnesota (Duluth and the North Shore especially).

Hop on the DNR website, they have a map of all the different camping sites that are available, including back country sites.

Is a boat needed for duck hunting in southern Wisconsin? Or can you get by with walking? I would assume it is quite different from being able to wade through flooded forests like down south.

I don’t think you really need a boat anywhere. Post up by a river that runs into a lake or even just areas around the lake. Bring a fishing pole to help drag em back to you. I don’t get much but it works well enough for me for now

thanks, ive been up to UP and the surrounding areas all the way around lake michicagan. nice roads, hikes, and camping spots. i just want to ask and make sure i aint missing out on anything closer

born and raised in wisconsin, and i can appreciate the hate you're getting, but this state is fucked anyway and if you're on /out/ you're probably on /pol/ too and not half as bad as most of the commiefornians and fibs and coasties coming in. I'm leaving in the next few months. Gonna miss it, but only really gonna miss what it used to be.

most of the good stuff in wisconsin is much further north than milwaukee/madison, but there's some good stuff around here, too. Door county is beautiful, so is horicon marsh (and the whole kettle moraine), devils lake, lots of good /out/ stuff to do anywhere from baraboo up to stevens point. Check out Holy Hill and the surrounding parks, if you're into that. There are a lot of good gun shows around Milwaukee regularly, but you're really closer to illinois/racine than milwaukee so I can't say much about that area.
if you have a dual sport, check out the NWAP for off road motorcycling and camping. I had a lot of fun biking the Elroy-Sparta as a kid.
to be honest, most of the /out/ stuff that we do in wisconsin is on private land or on fishing boats. it's different if you live around the wisconsin river.

Drive the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive south of I-94. I've never done the whole thing but it's full of boomers on bikes over the weekends so I assume its a good place to go. Nice curvy roads through wooded hills (through the kettles and moraines) and fields.

Also make an effort to never buy New Glarus Spotted Cow thank you very much. Don't know why a brewer had to go so political... many such cases. Sad!

You may want to also check out parts of the Driftless Area for driving/motorcycling, especially near like Baraboo (Devils Lake State Park is kind of a must-see for most Wisconsinites), and if you want a more general trip in the state, Door County is pretty good. Lots of kitschy shops, wineries, distilleries, a yacht club, and restaurants up there, then Newport State Park is seen as the "cutting teeth" destination in a lot of Wisconsin /out/ communities.

i hate wisconins, especially the boomers, dumbfuck rednecks, milwauke niggers, and the 4/10 women this state is flooded with, but $550k got me 7 acres of land, access to a lake, a 3 car attached garage, and a massive barn garage with a lift that can i fit 8 cars in, and its the boonies. I do cars, and hate people so this was my main buying point. and property tax is only 7.2k.

Yeah I’m up north of Green Bay around Pembine area, and the good woods doesn’t really start until here imo. If I was a little farther north it wouldn’t hurt my feelings any - it gets a little touristy in the summer. Lots of decent logging roads and such around here if you want to do truck/atv things. Plenty of small inland lakes for fishing, and DNR encounters are pretty rare so that’s a plus. Tons of various ranges/clubs for bow, black powder, etc between Oconto and here. I’m sure you’re not wanting to travel, but I figured I’d drop a few lines in the event you wind up exploring this neck of the woods. GL down south, I’m sure you’ll find something given enough time to explore.

Leave the state, we don't fucking want you here. You out of state people have absolutely destroyed the housing market in central wisconsin, and fucked the traffic beyond belief. It's almost like California traffic in some areas now, and more than half the plates I'm seeing aren't even wisconsin plates, it's all illinois and minnesota. Now the blacks are showing up too.
