I've been twice. I recommend the Gokyo Lakes trek. The views are epic and a lot of the accommodation is free if you eat at the restaurant. Meals are only around $5, so it's a pretty cheap place to visit.

Well yeah, thats part of what I mean. The mountains where I live top out at 4300 meters, so I can't imagine starting a climb at 5000 meters and going up to 8000+ meters. The Himalayas are crazy.
