>>2182889>half again as long >twice as thickThe og is 23oz ,(23x1.5)x2= 69oz, or 4.3lb (1.95kg).
You could take a hatchet, e-tool, and machete for that weight, all of which would perform better without the other tools glued on top.
Hybrids tend to lose out of efficiency, so if the weight savings isnt significant specialization is where it's at.
>>2182543The road crew I worked on would have us break those out if the clearing equipment was down/couldn't get somewhere. Two guys with chainsaws and a few with bill hooks and brush hooks (the two handed axe handle types). When sharp they're pretty slick for woody saplings up to about 2" and mow through vines and green vegetation. Hand tool guys basically just brushed out around the big stuff so the chainsaw guys could cut faster. They definitely work, but none of us were sad to see the dozer get fixed. If you wanted to clear a campsite, cut trail, limb a tree for a hammock, split 2" dry wood for a stick stove then could totally replace an axe/saw combo. If you wanted to fell dead standing, buck and split rounds you'd be doing nothing else with your day.
