I grew up in a very rural ranching area, where "going into town" was an event, because we had to drive all the way to town. As a result, when I moved to the city for work, I didn't enjoy it much. I did manage to appreciate simple things, like walking around the ponds in the park after a long day in the office. Nature is nature. Whether it's watching birds and fish in a city park. Whether it's the desert, the mountains, the bayou, the pine forests, the ocean.
Every state has something to offer. Every state has unique areas, different wildlife, various activities for you to engage in. I've gone rock climbing, fishing, hunting, four wheeling, backpacking, bow fishing, diving, and for awhile I even got into mountaineering. The true outdoorsman understands that nature is a gift for mankind to enjoy endlessly. Endless activities, sights, sounds, environments, all of it. Tier lists are arbitrary.
