i do both.
u dont fish enough if u dont see the lure of spin rods saving u hundreds of dollars in flys and gear. i love spins for lazy kayak fishing, also river/shore at times.
my favorite fly fishing is on mirror like water in small mountain lakes going for rainbow with a top floater. u can see them swimming as the water ripples, and just one little twitch and they strike.
but i also love the fact i cant just bring my spin rod backpacking, with like 2 lours and catch dinner consistently with 0 stress. or use a bobber and some bait and just leave it.
