If you have a van you're not homeless.
This isn't even /out/ if you're just homeless. It's more like /diy/ or /trv/ because you'd need to find places to camp.
>knifewhatever, get 2 or 3 different ones
>tentdon't need it, got a van
>hammockdon't need it, got a van
>hatchetretarded, don't need it
Buy a van, throw a matress in the back, insulate as you get any amount of money, that's it. Rest works out.

The single most important thing is clothing. If you can afford good wool or fleece clothing just get it. Layers are everything. As another anon said in another thread, a really good parka can replace a sleeping bag in cooler weather. You still need a sleeping pad.
You also need a place to store this stuff. There's a reason why homeless people have shopping carts. You aren't carrying your winter gear in summer.
I've spent 1 or 2 night sleeping on my bike in Walmart parking lots. Even at 9C shit sucks you need like wool or fleece undergarmets and a blanket if you don't have a sleeping bag.
Get a van, live in the van or car.
Pic rel is a very good homeless vehicle, but they're pricey.
If you're on a budget just get an Econoline or something
