I've had a -20 synthetic bag for a while, and it has served me well, but after a few years of use it's not a very warm bag anymore.

At MEC earlier this year when shopping for a down bag I see this MEC branded "-10C" bag for somewhere around 40% off. On the store printed label the bag was listed as "-5C" instead of the -10C embroidered onto the bag.
According to one of the staff, people had been complaining that the bag didn't seem warm enough. MEC investigated and found that the factory in China had been intentionally shorting the amount of down they were putting into the bag.
They remedied the problem but needed to sell off the mislabelled bags.
I bought it, in looking for a great deal. But I'm becoming increasingly concerned and frustrated with buying from China.
