>>2187928Are they still that good as they used to be?
I've got a softshell from them (Gamma SV), made in canada, bough in 2005 or something, and apart from the cuffs and the neck it's still top notch, whereas my 2010 made in China one (Gamma SL, so ligther and less robust) shows much more wear, but all the seams and such are still 100% A OK.
But now it's 2021, and they're even more expensive and still 100% Chinese made, and an even more popular fashion statement (see them much more /urban/, even here in euroland (was in Vancouver a few years back, holy shit, dedbirb hardshells are the new Mao jacket, it seems!) instead of /out/) so I'm kinda worried shelling out like 700€ for a hardshell, that I kinda need. But all my "cheap" (250-400€) jackets died withing 2 years or so, even good brands, like Mountain Equipment, and my current, heavy-duty Klättermusen also ain't that great (It's heavy, but the duty part isn't that good).
