This suggests death was instantaneous. Rules out most poisoning, toxic gasses, etc.
Lightning strike makes the most sense, but still doesn't make a lot of sense. If lightning struck a group of people, would it really kill their dog that was nearby? Wouldn't the dog being closer to the ground dissipate the effect somewhat? Has there ever been a case where a lightning strike killed an entire group of people and their dog and left no burning or scorching or evidence whatsoever?
The coroner said there's absolutely no indication from the bodies or clothing as to what happened. Last article I read a few days ago said they're waiting on toxicology but that'll be a while. But I can't imagine what kind of toxin or poison would kill an entire family and their dog all at once. I mean, something outlandish like a drone crop dusting them with carfentanyl would do it, but that's less likely than invisible bigfoots.
