Baton with a knife or use an axe?
This seems to be a pretty divided topic, with people saying they like the easy approach of using a knife and not carrying around a big axe. Others say that batoning has only become so big due to survival channels on Youtube, so much so that it's causing knife makers change to much thicker blades whether that be a positive or negative.
Personally I just want the best method to process lumber for a small firebox, so to me it would seem easier to use a knife to get those smaller matchsticks of wood. What do you guys think, I'm definitely no expert on the topic?
