little story about one thing i've been up to
>live near an old quarry now surrounded by forest and woods
>i feel lucky to be near it
>also feeling unfit and depressed after 2020
>start going there more at spring/summer
>there's a school pretty close to it
>i realise how much litter and random shit there is in this pond/stream near the quarry work
>it dries up for a few weeks, revealing more
>notice there are loads of frogs here, aswell as other animals/insects
>'got to save the frogs from turning gay'
>let's do it then
>finding packaging from the 80s
>countless types and quantities of things
>i go there a couple days each week when i have time
>feels really peaceful, being sheltered from noise of cars
>after a fortnight and more it rains alot, some of the stuff i didnt bag gets scattered everywhere after it floods
>a bit down about it and had to wait a bit till i start over again, but i get more progress done eventually
>over the summer i see some of the frogs that made it are bigger
idrk where this is going but it's nice to care and maintain for a place you love, however great or small it is.
