That way you can gain first experiences and see what farm live is all about without actually investing money.
And you will need money if you want to go full farm mode. You need to buy or rent land that you can work. There is no farm without fields.
And then you should be aware that being a farmer is hard. I grew up on a farm in Germany and we had to sell our animals because it wasn't economically feasible anymore to run it.
You will have to work A MINIMUM of 10 hours on good days, up to 18 when something happens. For example if a cow gives birth you have to be there in case complications arise. Or lets say some animals break out in the middle of the night, then you have to gather your entire family to go and capture your lifestock.
