>>2205449>Trying to go light>No cookware or a sleeping bag/tent.You don't need a backpack at all. A haversack is more than enough, and more comfortable than a small backpack, since it doesn't have nearly as much contact with your skin andthus makes you sweat far less. The assymmetric weight is not a problem with the small weights you're looking at unless you're a complete twink.
If I was you, I'd get a repro German army assault pack ("Kampftasche" in German). Preferably the brandit repro, as it's the only one with the strap attached by carbines - on other repros, the stitches holding the strap are the first to tear open. I've used that style of bag for years with my poncho on the flap, water bottle on the side, and everything else inside.
You could also get a small framed bag, like a medium alice, but that's overkill.
Whatever you do though, stay away from bags without an exoframe. They make you sweat like hell. Stuff like jack wolfskin berkeley (That every merchant will suggest to here in Germany) is just memeshit for people who think they need a backpack for a 2km walk around a parking spot in the woods.
