>>2206055alright bitches, i'll bite.
so i have a couple of encounters that i'd label outside-the-box & before i get all TL;DR, i will give the 'community' my bulleted list.
1st set of encounters (spanning years '77 - 83') -- yes i am an aged gen x'r.
>location Lake Tahoe, CA -- west shore camping.behaviors witnessed/noted:
>bi-pedal stalking/circling tent in early a.m. (4 a.m.)>rock/debris throwing into tent (also early a.m.)>red eye glow of two 'individuals(?)' just outside the light of campfire...nope, nope, nope>paralell start/stop stalking on path to lake late at night (midnight)>scream like a 'woman being murdered' [exact description by witness]...(late night)>possible mimicking behavior --- we scared the shit out of two girls we'd invited to our campfire at night by taking turns sneaking outside the light of the fire & and heaving (10 - 20lb. rocks) creating an audible 'THUD' noise...girls had had enough of out bullshit and walked back to their campsite, some 80 yds. away. in the morning the girls ran to our site claiming we'd been lurking around their campsite as 'something' had been throwing large rocks around camp creating a similar 'THUD' noise... >rocks thrown at fort we built next to heavily-forested creekYosemite '93
went on multi-day backpacking trip through Yosemite wilderness just south of the valley (i.e. remote)
>stone thrown at friend from off-trail. hit him in the ribs>rotting corpse smell, followed by feeling of being watched.>INTENSE GTFO feels while on an offshoot hike though idyllic meadow with brook winding through..very sudden change in atmosphere from placid/peaceful to outright terror/dread got to go NOW>that same night friends camped across creek from us clained they'd heard bipedal lurking outside their tent...they accused us and we had no idea wtf they were talking about.411 connection: that same year, in Fall 1993, a woman vanished from Glacier Pt. parking lot, just a mile from the trailhead we used.
