Before you ask, I am a newfag but am interested in making a hobby out of going /out.
I'm in rural NSW, AU. There's heaps of bushland and while I explore it regularly these trips rarely exceed 4 hours (I'm all sorted for clothes and the barest basics). I'm on 4chinz so you know I'm some sort of faggot, but I'm trying to get invested in recreational activities.
My aim is to, at some point, be spending one in every three or so weekends entirely in the bushland. I'm not rushing to buy larp gear but just want a benchmark to build over a long period of time. I'll give you some pointers:
Hot, dry climate, dense woody shrub up to chest height, very little in terms of plant food, large quantity of small game, sparse water, cool nights. Lots of ground level stinging insects, no large predators but abundance of snakes (red bellies and much more threatening eastern browns), very easy to start fires. Strictly a noguns country.
