Earlier today I visited Femöre outside Oxelösund. Now I'm out in a deep Sörmlandish forest eating home made miso soup, feeling comfy as fuck.

I sometimes bring a pack of pic related on /out/ings, it's nice having comfort food at camp

Femöre is home to one of Swedens most secret military complex, Femörefortet. Built during the cold war to protect the Swedish coastal line it was fully declassified as late as 2003. Most of the military stuff are still here and functional, which is kinda cool.

I use fermented basedbean paste, dashi bouillon (japanese fish stock) and some chives. My local supermarket imports both the basedbean paste and dashi straight from Japan. The instant stuff are good too, I just like to be able to make it as strong as I want.

you bring your dashi as a liquid to camp? Or are you bringing those bonito flake packets?

That's pretty impressive, i never bring that many raw ingredients /out/ since i like to keep it simple, but i should start

Picrel is what I bring for dashi. I only know it as dashi buillon but maybe there's another namne I'm not familiar with. It comes as small packets of 5 grams each. Half a packet of dashi and a big tablespoon of miso paste is good for a serving och 7 dl, so you don't need to bring much. It tastes awesome.

I don't know what fungus can be found in your regions,but アミタケ(amitake) or ナメコ(nameko) is recommended.
and we habitually add eggplant in it.
it's rich taste of autumn in japan.
