Hi,

Many years ago my grandfather gave me his collection of pocket knives. Along with the pocket knives there was this round, woody, seed looking thing which he did not mention and I never bothered to ask - initially, I assumed it had something to do with carving and just left everything in the box exactly how it was given to me and stashed it away.

Now, I'm wondering, what is this thing? Is it a seed of some kind? I wish I had asked when I had the chance. It looks like a seed, doesn't it? Does anyone know what this is? I have more pictures.

I figured this would be the right board for this, since it might be related to pocket knives or a plant of some kind, both of which seem outdoorsy.
