That said, he is odd and shifty and trying too hard to please the cops, joke with them, what we psychiatrists (yes I am a shrink) call "inappropriate affect". The cop at the beginning even asks him if he is always "this hyper".
Many ppl mentioned Chris Watts, who looked similar and had some similar qualities. There is something weird with him but I don't know if it's anxiety, trauma response (he's been bullied/abused before and learned to please authorities/whoever is in power over him), sociopathy (why is he so happy and giggly about this stressful situation with the cops?).
