>>222126this. i dont do leave no trace, but i also try not to pollute the pristine nature of being in the woods. the whole point is that you are out there by yourself, or its just your group, you dont want to see traces of other people the whole time. while i dont scatter all my logs, and bury the ashes and sweep the area with a pine bough or anything like that, i dont leave any trash, and i will try to return the landscape to how i found it, like filling in any areas i may have dug or vice versa kind of thing.
just imagine if every single person went out to where you like to go out, and did the shit that one troll is talking about, leaving shelters and garbage etc everywhere. eventually it would be worse than just staying home. the thought alone is enough to motivate me to do more than i would have otherwise. i want to find a pristine area, and therefore i want to leave a pristine area for others. that way, if they want to find my trash, they can put their own trash down to find for themselves.
