I second this. Keeping even a Microsoft word document called personal journal with a date could be ultra insightful. Also I'd try bringing a fren to go with and reflect together over a meal

this is the reason i take photos. I used to refuse to take pics "because that's for social media posers", but having a few pics for yourself to look back on is real nice when you get older and your memory isn't so good anymore

I never understood post-trip depression. I always come home feeling overwhelmingly accomplished but also thankful for the amenities that modern life allows. Just that first shower when you haven't showered in a few days feels like being baptized.

I usually feel better after my trips. The depression nags me the entire time out, but being out helps me sort through those thoughts and finishing a trip is a nice feeling

You are probably subconsciously feeling un-accomplished desu. Try setting a goal to complete going out like climbing a mountain, baging a deer or some survivalskill like identifying and preparing edible plants or mushrooms. Successful tree/ bird/ etc identification. Knots. Anything out related.You should be feeling relieved after a good trip or camp enough so to enjoy the comforts of home.
