First off, I'm an outsider to this board. I never browse /out/, but I have been /out/ enough where I can likely contribute to discussions here...in fact I hardly ever post on this site despite lurking the more degenerate boards almost daily for more than a decade.

I expect to take some lashings in order to prove my authenticity, so lay it on, I'll respond in kind. That said, I come seeking advice.

We're a group of four able individuals looking to give our friend and brother a memorable bachelor's (pre-wedding) experience. We're coming together from disparate parts of the US, however Oregon is the locus. Time-frame is Jan-April. Prevailing sentiment is to travel over water, via river or lake system, so we can provision heavy and have plenty of time to chat.

I live in the middle of nowhere on the East Coast and so I have no context. Will do my/our own research, just looking for a place to start.
