>>2223351>any one got info on this watch? i cant find a manual.Yeah I’ve got one, cost a fortune in 2000.
Will answe what I can.
>the auto light function doesnt seem to work. there is an auto icon thats on.Don’t worry about it. Meant to turn on when you tilt your wrist to look at it.
It doesn’t work when you want it to, does when you don’t.
>also there is an icon i can toggle that has an AL in an outline of a mountain peak. no idea what it does.I can’t remember that one. Possibly an altitude alarm for when you reach xxx meters?
>not sure how to read the barometer either. The graph? I’m sure there’s both a scale and a kpa reading on it? It’s pretty shit anyway unless you’re on flat ground.
>and temp function. how should it work accurately? it seems to only take a sample every 5 minutes. Correct. All samples are 5 min unless you have Alti memory on, then I think it’s 1min.
>do i need to remove the watch off my wrist in order to get a accurate reading?Yes. For quite a while too, like at least 20min.
>and then the ring around the face, whatever its called, what function does it server on a digital watch?Bezel.
Same as a compass, but less accurate.
I keep mine clipped to my pack so temp is alway accurate.
You have to reset your altitude at known heights because it changes with air pressure.
I can’t remember the alt/baro formula, but you need to remember to apply this to your current altitude otherwise baro will indicate rising and falling as your altitude does.
Honestly I only really use it for the time, and to see how baro is trending overnight. It can be useful in conjunction with a map, but not so much on its own.
I’ll try to find a manual, or type something up for you in a day or two if you want. I don’t have it with me right now.
