It's safe to use my alcohol stove in my tent right? Sometimes when I'm alone I don't wanna leave the tent cause of the monsters.

Lift it off the ground and open up any vents your tent has. The concept is similar to burning a candle in a closet. Open the door and you'll be OK as long as it doesn't tip over.

The older incandescent Maglite Solitaire's are like equal to a candel's lumens.
You can take the top lens off so it's pretty much a candle.
It's incandescent, so it's a nice warm glow.
They make an LED version, which is much bright, but not as "comfy".

I use my MSR whisperlite inside my tent before. Not the smartest thing to do and I almost caught everything on fire but the mosquitos were horrendous where I was camped.

there is a clear threshold/psychic barrier that they cannot penetrate
this is why you dont ever hear paranormal stories about demons breaking into dwellings, whatever happens always happens outside

i would be scared camping in a bivy in the wilderness, a bivy is almost like an article of clothing or a sleeping, where the bivy is almost a part of you, so the barrier between you and the outside is weak
whereas a tent has a clear *space* on the inside which distinguishes an outside and an inside
theres you, on the inside, then the walls of the tent, then the outside
i think a tarp would be better than a bivy if you were to create a proper fire to sit by to create a "dwelling", but a tent is prob best
