I guess i always felt like going away. I remember this one time when i was 5 i just packed my bag with food and my game boy(because that's an essential item obviously).
Over the years the feeling intensified and became what you said, the wish to vanish in thin air.

I never found a way to "fix" this. Taking extended trips to other states/countries help a little. Renting a remote homestead for vacation helped too. When i finally buy my piece of land i hope it decreases. Sorry for the blog post.

Yes. There’s a documentary about companies in Japan which help people disappear. They pay them and they help them just leave their old life behind overnight. I fantasize about doing that and ending up in Alaska or something.

Yes, my life at the moment feels like a drag.
I'm a Britfag though so it's not possible here, I can't move to any good nations at the moment and within Britain the population density is too high (among other factors).

/rant/, call me a retard if you want but I need to vent:
I feel extremely disillusioned with society and my fellow Britons, even more so considering recent anti-gun pushes (Firearms are my main interest). It's like living in a nation of people who despise you no matter how hard you work to be a good member of society, even when they're total pieces of shit .
I work extremely hard to be the best person I can be and it feels very under-rewarding. Maybe I'm just being a whiny bitch, but I feel this constant nagging feeling that "society" (I hate using that word, it's so inadequate to describe what I mean) isn't worth the effort. Why work my life away to give taxes to a bunch of degenerate, disgusting hypocrites so that they can turn around and spit on me? I have loads of examples of it happening though so I can't just write it off as "stop being a whiny faggot" anymore.

So to summarise Anon, yes. It strongly appeals to me for similar reasons to yours. The idea of buying a one way ticket to Canada/USA/Patagonia and using my savings to fund a simpler life innawoods where I don't have to deal with people/government/companies is one that keeps popping back up into my mind. It's just a fantasy for me at the moment though.

I think I kind of have, to a certain extent. Left the big city job to work remotely and have been building my alt income streams for the day that I can just ease off the gas pedal and cruise for a bit. And next year, that's probably going to be my escape plan. Make sure I've got my cash working for me, put in my resignation and just lay back for a bit and watch the world go by.

Just a thought: Would there be any non-western nation willing to put up with a community of white 'misfits' setting up shop and being left alone in some remote unused area?
I get the feeling many of us 'misfits' are by no means poor or lazy, so money to buy land should not be too much of an issue. If we don't cause trouble outside of our little nation, manage our own affairs and even pay some amount to be left alone, many (poorer) countries would happily host us.

The amish do this kind of thing in lots of places, why can't we just set up the ultimate out heaven?

Almost 30 year old what most would call successful dude here (earn 6 figures and have since grad, no debt other than the house I just bought which is very manageable). I've had similar feelings and have been feeling the pull more (as have most) since the Pandemic because it's just a reminder that life is finite. One thing that has helped me a ton is that I bought a motorcycle and have been riding the ever loving shit out of every mile near me (live in a scenic state with some of the best rides around). I think it's just wanderlust. You want to go explore but you're rational enough to not be able to turn off the modern preservation instinct that is the safety of a job, a place to live, etc. For me I focus on trying to earn enough to stop working while doing as little work as possible. It's not the best strategy but I've found it helps. You'll need to find a way to scratch your wanderlust though, so try some hobbies that focus more on self reliance and determination.
