For touristy /out/, there are a few musts:
-Kamikochi
-Nikko
-izu (hard to get REALLY out here, but its ok)
-hakusan
-bandai asahi park
-hidaka mountains
But do your own research. Do you like mountains? Lakes? Big forests? whatever man.
