I just pulled this tick out of my back.
What are the odds I get lyme disease?

My buddy's dog got lyme disease recently in the same area so I know lyme disease is out here maybe just not as common

I had that stupid tick in my back for about 20 hours before I found it in the shower.

Hopefully I didnt get lymed but Im gonna go see a doctor in about an hour and get on some antibiotics just in case

I cant believe it finally happened. I've been hiking and exploring the outdoors for years and never had problems with ticks. They are pretty rare up here

Looks like Doxycycline 100mg for 14 days. Does that sound correct?

Thanks frens. Normally I wouldnt be concerned its just that the area I got this tick is the same area my buddy's dog got bitten by a tick and got lyme disease.
Anyways, I just took 200mg of doxycycline and I'll keep an eye on it
Glad I gave my doggo some anti-flea/tick meds a week ago. I didnt find any ticks on doggo

Pretty low, you’ll most likely be fin just keep an eye on it. If it gets red and hot to the touch or if you have a fever then mention it to your doctor and they will put you on some antibiotics and strong testosterone dose. Maybe some z packs, hydroxycloraquin, a nice b12 supplement, some low dose niacin, a heart dewormer, maybe a couple vicadin and a ginkgo suppository.

fairly low, but you'll definitely want to keep an eye on it because it's way easier to treat it if you deal with it in the first month or instead of waiting for systemic effects
if you get a rash like pic related you definitely have it and should go to the doctor asap, but the rash doesn't always appear after infection so if you get a fever or anything else that seems a bit sus I would recommend seeing a doc too

t. had lyme disease twice, do not recommend it

I went /out/ a couple of days ago and the next morning my shoulder blade/neck is sore.
I sprayed deet on my arms and legs and I kept on a trail, plus I couldn’t find any ticks on me.
Is this just a result of a heavy backpack? I was carrying 3 liters water bottles for about a couple miles.
