I'll be solo camping for a few days, what are some things that I can do on my own out there? Won't be bringing a lot of gear and might hike to another campsite after my first night.

I like to sit and listen to the sounds in the area, focus on the surroundings, it's relaxing doing it with a campfire going. There won't be anywhere to fish so won't be able to do that. Might try to build some kind of bush shelter.

I'll probably get a few drinks so I can have them by the campfire, not too much though as I'll be alone and using different/less equipment then I usually do.

I would say challenge yourself. Think of something somewhat essential you would normally pack, and don't bring it. Ex: a fire starting kit (try to start a fire only with materials you can scavenge), food (try to forage, if you happen to be next to a lake or wild game), a tent (if you want to build a shelter)

Practice shelter building , even if it's a shitty lean-to, if you are someone who goes out alone often its an invaluable. skill to have.

Finding sticks and chucking as spears is fun. Exercise in the woods is very tao and I like to do larps such as one time I was a roman soldier in the dense woods of germania or another time on an alien planet as a corporate world eater and a native alien shaman
