The feeling I enjoy when I am out is a close awareness of the minutia of nature, as well as enjoying larping as an aristocratic loafer, hobbit type figure. Wind in the willows captures something similar, like the atmosphere of the shire and makes for good comfy light reading. Huckleberry finn is good too though evokes a different headspace. Have only just started Walden but I understand it's pretty heavy into the minutia of nature so should be good. I also read Desert Solitaire, while I did enjoy the nature writing it doesn't paint such a vivid scene as I'd have liked, also though I agreed with his points on most things, it's a bit on the nose, it's too much of his opinions and grumping, not enough nature... ultimately the writer comes across like a bit of a cunt.
