Any suggestions as to where I could disappear into the Bush with nothing but a swag and few tools to get by?

South/East QLD Region. I just want to get the fuck away from human civilisation for a few weeks and not see a single person or powerline.

Yeah not to good on the berries and traps but i can point and shoot a rifle.

I'm going to take with me some tackle for sporting chances. My line of food is portions of beans and rice.

water is my biggest question mark.

If you want to survive long term, properly, I recommend learning how to use a small gillnet and learning to snare and skin. All of this stuff is very accessible very learnable. You've just got to go out and practice.

Fellow SEQ resident here. Lake Manchester and its surrounding areas (D'aguilar national park) and Lake Wivenhoe/Lake Somerset and its surrounds. There are some people there but if if choose the right places you but I imagine if you choose the right places you can stay out for a while. Around an area called "camp Somerset (privately owned, went there when I was younger) is your best bet, explore a bit around the local fire trails and find a good place. If my memory serves me right there's a place where you can camp on top of a flat rock structure with a cliff, good place.

Lamington National Park, anywhere along the border, the Cougal mountain area is pretty nice.
Plenty of fresh water in these regions too
