First, I want to say that this is going to be the best board ever. It has only existed a day and three hours, and already it's full of like-minded people who love the outdoors and the like. I can say that /k/ will see a lot less of me.

Second, I admit that I don't go innawoods very often. I live in semi-suburbia, and just recently got a car, so that I can get myself out into the wilds of Central Florida.

I want to take a conoe trip towards the end of summer from the Wekiva Springs lake, up a few days, and ultimately end up in Jacksonville. I have experience with canoes, but I have never taken a trip on one that might last me a few weeks. I'm getting ready for it by navigating the waters of the river around which I live, spending the night on a few beaches and campgrounds.

So my question to all you /out/doorsmen, sc/out/s and /out/casts is, what should I pack, and what should I expect. The water is pretty clean for about the first tenth of the trip, but I'm not so confident about the rest of the way.
